Mlada

MLADA (Maryna Yurasova) is Ukrainian ethno-jazz and jazz singer. Her musical idea lies in the synthesis of Ukrainian folklore with various modern musical trends such as jazz, fusion and pop. Mlada's first solo album "Ой весна, весна" (O vesna, vesna), released in 2005, has been recognized as the first Ukrainian album in ethno-jazz style. It includes seven ancient Ukrainian folk songs in jazz arrangements. The music of the album was rotated on radio in different countries of the world, where it was named as one of the most interesting projects of Ukrainian contemporary music. Mlada is a winner of the famous Ukrainian festival of modern songs and popular music "Chervona Ruta" (Chernivtsi 2009).
