MKE emerged in 2023 as a response to an inner need to create during the war in Ukraine. It is a Kyiv-based live band working at the intersection of intellectual jazz and fusion. Their sound is atmospheric, flowing, and meditative, yet at the same time intense and alive. The band refers to this aesthetic as “дрогобицький фʼюжн.”
