Milyakov

Well-known for his dancefloor-oriented project Buttechno, Pavel Milyakov is mostly focused on sonic experiments under his own name now. Working in different fields and exploring a variety of directions — from free jazz to musique concrete, his works reflect on the problems of human existence in the dystopian and desolate areas of modern society. Among the dozens of events and performances Pavel presented his live acts at such significant venues as Berghain, Tresor and such festivals as Rewire, CTM, Berlin Atonal and Terraforma. In 2020 and 2021 he created commissioned sound pieces for the Venice Biennale. Apart from the music making Milyakov also curates “psy X” record label, where he releases works of like-minded artists as well as the ‘non-format’ records of his own.
