Ukrainian Doom ‘n’ Roll band playing music without bass!! Black Berry Birds is a metal duo from the very center of Ukraine. A combination of powerful and explosive guitars with messages in English philosophical lyrics. The band was formed in the summer of 2019 by two former bass players of a little-known local folk metal band: Anatoliy (ANT) Kapinus and Bogdan (Kairo) Ivashchenko. The usual jam session with Stoner metal admixtures that warm summer inspired the guys to hone their own unique sound. Positioned as a duo: drums + guitar with loopers, octavers and other effects, the lyrical component loomed in the constellation of Gothic themes: self-digging, occultism and various provocations and forbidden topics for public opinion and challenge to society.
