Born in Kyiv and shaped by years of cultural immersion across different continents, Toni Okini merges electronic indie with a deep, introspective edge. With a background spanning jazz, Latin, and acoustic indie, her music is both grounded and ethereal—mystical ideas disguised in ordinary moments. When she first began experimenting with music, Toni formed an acoustic indie band, creating an album in this style and performing a solo concert in the castle of Szczecin. For many years, she worked as a jazz and Latin singer in the Middle East. Since then, dance and movement play an essential role in her artistic expression, adding a dynamic layer to her sound. This exploration led to projects like Ukrainera, an experimental EP blending Cuban guitar with Ukrainian lyrics, reimagining Latin classics in a new form. She also experimented with reggaeton in Unavailable Together, writing and performing the lyrics—including a Spanish rap—pushing the boundaries of genre fusion. Beneath every song lies a hidden layer, a bigger picture waiting to be uncovered. Now, Toni Okini steps further into electronic music, refining her sound and production, while continuing to explore the intersection of music, dance, and spirituality.
