At just 15 years old, Oleksandra Popelchuk is already making her mark as a talented Ukrainian singer and songwriter. Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Oleksandra began her vocal journey at the age of eight, winning her first competition, Kyiv Art Time. Since then, she has participated in numerous Ukrainian and international competitions, such as Ukrajina Jednaje Svit, Open Music for Child, and Z One Talent Fest, earning top prizes and recognition. Her musical path goes beyond competitions. Oleksandra participated in the charity project Duet with a Star, performing alongside renowned Ukrainian artists to raise funds for children. She also trained at the academy of famed Ukrainian singer Oleksandr Ponomariov and appeared in a music video for Ksanti. When the war in Ukraine began, Oleksandra and her family fled to Latvia, where her passion for music persisted. She performed on Riga's central square with Latvian cellists Melo-M, won first place at the Baltijski Zori festival, and collaborated with Ukrainian musicians. Now based in Slovenia, she recently participated in Tour Music Fest. Oleksandra’s first original song delves into the challenges faced by Ukrainian children abroad, including the trauma of war, displacement, and bullying in foreign schools. Her music is a powerful voice for her generation, telling stories of resilience, survival, and hope amidst adversity.
