Igor Yalivec is a sound artist and music composer from Dnipro, Ukraine with a huge experience in the field of sound and media art. Performer and inventor of musical instruments, synth geek, founder of Gamardah Fungus electroacoustic band. The compositional approach in Igor's solo works is based on the ideas of Eric Satie, Terry Riley and Steve Reich. His repetitive electronic music goes on the border of ambient and modern minimalism, and is created in real time by improvisations on modular synthesizers using generative algorithms, granular sampling and field recordings that the musician collects while traveling.
