TRANSCRIPT

In the very name of the TRANSCRIPT project lies the essence of its original mission. If transcription helps us describe how each word or phrase sounds, then TRANSCRIPT, on the contrary, translates the beauty of the surrounding world – objects, places, emotions and natural phenomena – into the language of music. It is no coincidence that one of the duo's albums, OPTIMA (2020), was originally conceived as the soundtrack for a fashion show at Ukrainian Fashion Week. From soundtracks for fashion shows and performances, TRANSCRIPT has evolved towards conceptual audiovisual works, where music takes the leading role and visuals reveal its hidden meanings. Thus, the release Natural Course of Events sounds like The Four Seasons in the digital era, transforming nature into sound textures and rhythms. Musically, TRANSCRIPT moves freely between the "ordered chaos" of industrial, IDM and glitch, and the cinematic atmospheres of ambient, coldwave and contemporary electronic music. The latest EP, A Liminal Hour (2026), expands this artistic direction even further. Created in collaboration with vocalist Maryana Golovko, it is a cinematic ambient work exploring uncertainty, fragility, resilience and hope through voice, electronics and spoken poetry inspired by Valerian Polishchuk, one of the poets of the Executed Renaissance.
