Listen to “Douglas Theory” and share your impressions Ukrainian author and performer DOUGLAS has been immersed in the atmosphere of music since childhood: his mother wrote songs and his father worked at the Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. “I spent my childhood backstage at the theater, where I was inspired by the artists and musicians who performed there” says the artist. In 2007, he released his debut album under a different alias in the style of hip-hop and R&B, which was sold in many stores with disks across the country and found its popularity among fans of the genre at the time. He later stepped back “behind the scenes” again, becoming a go-to rater for many songs by popular artists, while continuing to write for others. Now he presents his debut album under the pseudonym DOUGLAS - “Douglas Theory” in a new sound and image, with a completely new philosophy and meanings. The geography of the artist's performances is regularly expanding and if before it was only CIS countries, now residents and expats of Europe and Asia become his audience. “For me music is the only true way to find myself. Over the many years of songwriting and working as a sound producer I have captured many stories of this search, and I continue mine, and believe that it leads me to what I am looking for” notes DOUGLAS.
