A family project founded in 2019 in Kharkiv, Ukraine by the eldest son of the family, Illia, in an effort to create “something worthwhile” by his coming of age. “Мальчик Паж” is not Christian rock, not Orthodox trap, and not the viral “Lord Lord” by Pavel Satanenko. But something else, balancing on the verge of banter and seriousness,” the Kharkiv edition of Luk writes about the project. In 2020, the debut album “Holy Saints” is released. In the same year, the band gives its first online concert at the Intercity Live festival. Illia’s work shows that a relationship with Jesus Christ can be much more interesting than religious leaven.
