It’s for those who love to experiment, are full of drive, and boldly embrace the new. A.DROZD takes you into an alternative reality where anything is possible. This extraordinary band can truly be called international, as more than half of its members come from diverse ethnic backgrounds and draw inspiration from a wide range of musical styles—jazz, rock, classical, and techno. The lyrics, primarily written in Ukrainian by frontwoman Anastasiia Bandurivska, reveal astonishing self-reflection and provocative honesty about personal desires, values, and goals. “The goal of the project is to inspire listeners to embrace their inner strength, to go beyond limits; to live the life they choose, regardless of circumstances; and to harness the power to be the architects of their own lives in this vast and diverse world.” With metaphor, self-irony, and philosophy, the band explores themes of losing one’s former self and old ways of life at a turning point in time—when the familiar world collapses and the new has yet to take shape.
