Wavesurfer is independent producer from Ukraine, Kyiv exploring the atmospheric edges of ambient techno, IDM, braindance, techno, breakbeat. Inspired by artists like Aphex Twin, Autechre, Cylob, Boards of Canada, FSOL, Biosphere, Orb, Underworld, Chemical Brothers and many others his music blends emotional depth with experimental textures and rhythmic nuance. With a background in sound design and a lifelong love for electronic music, Wavesurfer creates from a home studio setup using Ableton Live, analog synths, and field recordings. His approach is intuitive and meditative—often starting with a texture or mood, and gradually layering rhythms, filtered pads, and fragments of memory-like melodies. His debut track "Submerged Memory" was released in 2025. Influenced by Aphex Twin’s Selected Ambient Works 85–92, it merges dreamy ambient layers with chopped, off-grid percussion—a subtle tension between calm and disorientation, stillness and motion. Wavesurfer’s music invites introspection. He sees each track as a sonic photograph—capturing fleeting feelings, inner states, and liminal places. With every release, he aims to build a sonic diary: personal, immersive, and timeless. "Submerged Memory" is a debut ambient piece built around slowly shifting textures, minimal rhythms, and soft distortions. Inspired by the emotional warmth of analog synths and early Aphex Twin atmospheres, this track invites the listener into a meditative, weightless space.
