OWNSTONE is a Ukrainian metal band that performs music in the style of Groove Metal. The primary goal of creating a band was the desire to play a style of music that was close to both musicians. However, until 2019, Alex and Dmitriy played only instrumental compositions, without creating full-fledged songs from them. In the summer of 2019, it was decided to make the compositions into full-fledged musical works. The author Iryna Korobchenko was involved in writing the text of the songs. The main theme of each song is a struggle that almost every person faces. The song <a href="spotify:track:7ItBunePTywFuvhEyCCgMA" data-name="Fight Them All">Fight Them All</a> shows the social struggle against an external enemy. This composition is more relevant than ever for the Ukrainian people during the war. <a href="spotify:track:4VHE6nQXyfRGYTdPSTw5vL" data-name="Don't Break Me Down">Don't Break Me Down</a> and <a href="spotify:track:3ZPqoMmYW9o5DKrDkpOU9g" data-name="Scold Yourself">Scold Yourself</a> are musical compositions that represent the personal struggle of someone who has been in an abusive relationship. And the song <a href="spotify:track:6s4QpOIHOe5Tchlkm7mZUV" data-name="I Hate Mondays">I Hate Mondays</a> deals with the topic of social pressure on traumatized people. It is normal for a person to receive reproaches and accusations instead of help, that can break his psyche and lead to negative consequences. This happened to Brenda Ann Spencer, whose story became the basis for the song. All these musical works are the main component of OWNSTONE's first EP. In 2023, the band released the first single of the next EP called <a href="spotify:track:70Cde1yPEuHPRtyhnGchCg" data-name="Go Away">Go Away</a>. The song personifies a mortal's dialogue with the Almighty, the main idea, thematically, "Direct lead me to the right path, or go away!"
