Junket

Junket is a band that was formed spontaneously on art exhibition where participants of Atomic Simao (Georgiy Valchuk and Nikolai Shostov) created a symbiosis of electronic sound and live instruments (sax, flute). The specificity of the group is that they do not play pre-prepared compositions, but everything is created spontaneously, online, without a second double and the possibility of editing. Essentially their music an improvisational “fresh” created directly in front of the listener. Later, at one of the jam sessions Georgy Valchuk and Nick Shostov met singer Dima Sazonov (from the heavy music group Point). From the first minutes of jam everyone understood that Dima is perfect in music improvisation and he immediately became a third member of Junket. In creating music, he actively uses an effects processor, which makes the sound of lightness, tranсe and special energy. All Dima’s texts are freestyle (in English) which are creating spontaneously and changing from performance to performance, refining and transforming into new forms. Junket genres are break-beat, funk, electro dub, minimal house and drum'n'bass
