Ukraine’s representative at Eurovision 2026, Mr. Vel is one of the country’s most vibrant and talked-about artists. Born the son of a miner in the Luhansk region, he chose music from an early age and has since developed professional training and a unique stage charisma. Over six years at the Kyiv National Academic Operetta Theater, he has performed more than twenty roles, including the iconic Dorian Gray in the musical Dorian Gray, as well as Gringoire (Notre Dame de Paris) and Mozart (Mozart). His voice and talent have also captured audiences on X-Factor and The Voice of Ukraine. Today, Mr. Vel is not only a remarkable performer but also a dedicated teacher, sharing his expertise with children at Kyiv’s “Zmina” Art Lyceum. He is an artist generating the most buzz and anticipation on the global music stage right now.
