Cookie Policy

How Muzazaa uses cookies and similar technologies — and why we keep it to the bare essentials.

Last updated 14 June 2026. · Draft — pending legal review before public launch.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies — local storage and session markers — work the same way.

Essential cookies

Muzazaa uses only essential cookies: the Rails session, the CSRF-protection token, your saved interface language, and the hCaptcha check on forms.

Essential cookies require no consent — they serve the very service you request, and the site will not work without them.

Non-essential cookies

At V1.0 Muzazaa sets no non-essential cookies: there are no analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers.

Analytics are planned no earlier than V1.5, and only after your explicit consent.

We show a consent banner where you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. At V1.0 there are no such cookies, so declining blocks nothing — the banner prepares consent for future analytics (V1.5).

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Note: blocking essential cookies may break sign-in and form submission.
