пухнастий звір is the music project of Kyiv-based musician Olena Levytska, focused on honest, sometimes contradictory emotions. Olena picked up a guitar at 12, began writing her own songs, and spent years refining her craft as a classical guitarist — later moving on to rhythm and lead parts on electric guitar. пухнастий звір isn’t an autobiography — it’s about states of mind. Each song captures a fragment of life, such as sadness, joy, the surreal, and the dreamlike, and keeps it intentionally unpolished, like diary entries set to sound. Influences include Fink, Ben Howard, Aurora, Nick Cave, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Slowdive and Japanese pop-rock. The music invites listeners into the in-between, to recognize themselves and explore their own emotions.
